This week’s Very Important Boss Lady Member Monday feature is Kendall Ballantine of Central Park Farms.
Kendall is the owner and farmer behind Central Park Farms in Langley. Her business specializes in pasture raised and free range meat selling direct to customers throughout the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver.
Why did you start your business?
I began to realize that I couldn’t get a clear answer on where my food was coming from and more importantly, when it comes to the meat I was feeding my family, how it was being raised. So I set out to get answers the only way I knew how, by raising it myself.
What is you favourite past about being in business?
I love getting to interact so closely with our customers both at the farm or at the farmers markets we attend. It’s an honour that our community chooses our family to help feed theirs.
